December 2012: Sephora Haul

This month, I have been obsessed with shopping at Sephora.  Why?  Well, I was trying to get to VIB status before the end of the year and guess what.... it paid off!  I'm officially VIB status baybee!

Here are my purchases for this month... and yes, these were all for me.  I have 3 older brothers that I'm sure would prefer clothes than cologne or skin care items.

Philosophy Love Sweet Love Gift Set - I fell in love with this scent when I received a sample from MyGlam aka IPSY back in February or March.  Every time I wanted to purchase it, it was sold out.  But I finally got my hands on it and I couldn't be happier.

Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation - I am always in the market for a great foundation and I was reading good reviews on this one so I picked up the shade Medium 58.  It's a bit on the pink side for me (I have more of a yellow undertone) but with a little bit of powder, bronzer, and blush... I don't think you notice the pinkish on my skin.  My boyfriend says it looks great on me but what does he know about makeup? lol

Kat Von D True Romance e/s palette - I picked this up for only $13!!!  It was a good price and I adore the colors.

Peter Thomas Roth Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel -Not only am I on the hunt for a good foundation but also a cleanser.  Thought I'd give this baby a try and see if my skin likes it.

OCC Lip Tar in Hush - An IGer by the name of Melisa posted this and I fell in love instantly that I had to get my hands on it.  Now I want more! (not pictured bc I had it in my purse)

MUFE Mat Velvet Foundation - Yes, another foundation.  I received a sample one day and I knew I had to have it.  I picked up No. 55 which is a Neutral Beige color.  I like this one because it has a yellow undertone compared to the pinkish undertone the Kat Von D gives me.

MUFE Super Matte Loose Powder - Oily City has taken over my face!  I ran out of MAC Studio Fix powder and wanted to try something new.  So far, I've been liking it.

BeautyBlender Duo Set - With all that foundation I purchased, I needed something that will help me achieve that flawless look. I still haven't tried it yet until I watch YouTube How To videos.

Murad Time Cleanser - I needed a new cleanser for my acne.  I've tried plenty of drug store brands lately but thought I'd invest in a little bit more for the face.  Haven't tried it out yet but when I do, I'll post a more thorough review.

And of course, you can't forget the samples.

Too many to list but you get the pic. :)

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!
AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT.
OR MORNING.
OR AFTERNOON.

What's In My Purse??

Curious minds want to know...
what's in my purse.
Ok, no one really wants to know but I thought I'd share what I carry around in my everyday bag.

My current and new addition to my purse fam is this pink Big Buddah handbag that I purchased over the weekend.  I was on the hunt for a non-black, non-brown, non-taupe purse and I came across this one at Marshall's.  I am so in love with it.  It's the perfect pink color - not too bright, not too pink but feminine and chic. I have no idea why the picture makes it look like its a red color but trust me it's not. This baby retails for $95 but I got it $39.99!!!

Now on to what's inside this beauty...
  • iPhone charger - I need to have this with me at all times.
  • Coupon organizer - Yep!  Ms. Couponista over here carries around a small accordion folder with coupons that I know I'm going to use when I stumble upon a CVS or Walgreens.
  • Small notebook - I don't carry this notebook around in my purse much but I had it with me because I wrote down some awesome upcoming coupon deals that I need to start organizing my coupons for.  Yes, another of my couponing items. lol
  • Tums - Need these for those high sodium, spicy meals. Or when I just feel bloated.
  • Anti-bacterial - Comes in handy to fight off those germs!
  • Tiny pouch with nail clippers and nail file - I hate when my nail chips or it's too long that I need to cut or file so I like to carry this around for those type of moments.
  • Makeup bag - Don't carry much in there other than a ton of lip products that I don't even apply through out the day and some powder and concealer.
  • Kindle 4 - Love it for reading!  So lightweight.  I love my iPad more though! lol
  • Pocket calendar organizer - I'm a busy bee so I need to keep track of what I'm doing with my life.
  • HK note pad - I write down jibberish in this one such as the name of a nice nail polish I saw or ideas on what to blog about.
  • Zyrtec - I suffer from seasonal allergies and this summer they have been flaring up big time.  I take Zyrtec to help with the sneezing and sniffling. :)
  • Juicy wallet - My BFF!

In a nutshell, my purse fits a lot of stuff and more.  On most days, you'll find torn receipts, pens, kotex liners, tampons, and toys but because this is a fairly new purse I  am trying to maintain the neatness. :)

So, what's in your purse?  I'd love to know.
If you have a blog post about it, leave me the link to your blog so I can check it out.

June Little Black Bag

Hey everyone,
I thought I'd share with you what I got this month in my LBB.  If you want to know more how LBB works check out their website here.

This month I received four items instead of three.  That's because the purse I received in my April LBB bag ripped!  I love how easy it is to make returns/exchanges with LBB.  The customer service is really friendly and helpful.  They ended up giving me a credit of the value of the purse, which was $75.  What they did was provide me with an item of that value.  In my case, they picked out a necklace worth $75 but I ended up trading it because I didn't like it.
On to my goodies...

Untitled

I picked out the BCBG clutch in a peachy/coral color.  I believe this retails for $75 or $78. I absolutely love it!  It's a great size.  Not too small or big and fits a lot of my everyday essentials.
Untitled

Blue, Green Beaded bracelet.  I forgot the brand name but it retails at $45.
I'm loving this bracelet.  It fits perfectly and makes any boring outfit more fun.
 Untitled

Betsey Johnson Crystal 5 Row Chain Bracelet.  Retails at $50.
I had originally gotten a spiked, stretchy bracelet but I knew that I probably would never wear it.
Instead, I traded it for this one but because my wrists are so skinny, this bracelet slips off.
I plan to return it.
Untitled

All the Rage Cut Out Leaf Earings.  Retails at $12.
I love these earings.  They are so light and go great with any casual outfit.

Overall, I am loving this months LBB.  I am seriously hooked with this site.  I love the variety of products they offer, the trading, the friendly customer service, and the simple, no hassle return/exchange policy. For $59/month (this includes shipping and handling) I think it's a great deal for all these wonderful products.

Are any of you registered with LBB?  If so, add me as your friend. If you have not yet tried LBB, click on the below link and get started.  I'm sure you'll enjoy it and love the products.

New Purchase - Sunglasses

I've been wanting some Tom Ford sunglasses for the longest time.  I'd go to Nordies and try them on but I just couldn't spend the money at the moment.  And finally... I purchased the ones that I've wanted for the longest.  The Tom Ford Natalia's.

I absolutely love them!

NARS Melusine

I went to Sephora today to use a coupon of $15 off a purchase of $40 or more. I ended up purchasing the Nars e/s duo in Melusine. It is such a gorgeous duo.

Check it out...

Nars Melusine es
Nars swatches

The silver-ish color reminds me of Satin Taupe from MAC and it glides on so smoothly.
The dark purple color is really matte but reminds me a bit of MAC Plum Dressing without the shimmer.

I can't wait to slap these colors on my eyelids.

If only these babies weren't $32 a piece, I'd get more.

Happy Monday!!!!

Wet-N-Wild Lippies

After reading many blogs and tweets about how great Wet-N-Wild cosmetics were I figure I'd see what all the fuss was about. I went to my local Walgreens because they were having a 50% off on some Wet-N-Wild products. When I got to the store, the Wet-N-Wild section was practically empty. I was able to pick up the 3 lipsticks.

Here they are:

903C- Just Peachy: It is a lovely peachy color
901B- Think Pink: A bubble gum pink
902C- Bare It All: A darker peachy pink color

SWATCHES

From Left to Right:
Think Pink, Just Peachy, and Bare It All

These lippies are FABULOUS!!
They are similar to MAC lipsticks but waaaay cheaper!
I got these babies for $1.29 and will definitely be purchasing more Wet-N-Wild products.
I highly recommend that you purchase some of these lipsticks. You will LOVE them!!

Collective February Haul

Hey everyone,

So here are a few items I've purchased before lent. I also attended a MAC Studio talk class this past Sunday and it was based on the Spring Trend. It was pretty interesting. On to the things I've purchased....BTW, I haven't tried/played much with any of the items yet but as soon as I do I'll give you my thoughts on these products.

On to the goodies....

P.S. I had paid the $50 in advance for the MAC Studio Talk class so that went towards the last 4 products and my bf paid the difference. [thanks baby ;)] I didn't break my lent commitment although it's tempting but I can do it. Anyone know when Lent is over? LOL.

Check out your local TJ Maxx and see the good shoes they carry. They had a whole bunch of them but I had to control myself before I maxed out my credit card. LOL.

My Knee High Boots

Here are the boots I ordered from AMICLUBWEAR. I really like them and they are super comfy. With these boots you are able to fold the top part to make them shorter. In the photo that is what I did. But if I unfold them they are up to my knees. I can't wait to wear these with a sweater dress, skirt with tights, jeans, or leggings.

This was just a random pic that was taken from my cell phone. Not the best quality but soon I will be posting some great photos.

Thanks for checking out my blog.

[Click pic to enlarge]

Femme Fi reminds me of Rose Blanc e/s, Evening Aura is more of a light goldish color, and Enough Said is kinda like a peachy bronzey color with a little bit of goldish shimmer.

Hope this helps with your online shopping!!!

My CBTsCloset.com Haul

After checking out Jacqueline's haul, I decided to make a purchase and take advantage of the 10% Off discount.  I received my package super fast...like 3 business days after I had placed my order.  It came in a cute lil box that says "Thank You" at the bottom right corner, and another lil star baggie with a zebra print tissue paper wrapping my ring and diamond shape necklace.  I thought it was sooo cute how they packaged my things.

The pic above you can see the diamond shape necklace I got...It's pretty big and so pretty!!!

Here is the ring I got...It's so cute!!!  I wear it almost everyday =)

Finally, the necklace I got made with my daughter's name "DESTINY".

I love everything I purchased.  I got so many compliments on the ring and the necklaces.  I will definitely be purchasing some more products in the future.  Check out www.cbtscloset.com.

MAC - Mini Haul

I decided to visit my local Nordstroms store to pick up one of the palettes and one of the lippie sets but ended up purchasing some other things since the ones that I really wanted were sold out.  This is what I ended up purchasing: Fresh Cut palette, Starflash Re-promote colors in One-Off, Fashion Groupie, and Rated "R".

FRESH CUT PALETTE

Swatches:

Left to Right: One Off, Steamy, Humid, Newly Minted

Left to Right: Fashion Groupie, Vibrant Grape, Nocturnelle

Rated "R" and Sharp (LE)
Left to Right: Rated "R", Sharp, Chrome Yellow
Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase I made.  I really wanted one of the lippie sets but damn the nuetral one I wanted was SOLD OUT!!!  Also, I had no idea that MAC was re-promoting the Starflash collection and I got to pick up those colors that caught my attention.  One-Off is like a dark teal-ish color and I have nothing like it.  Fashion Groupie is such a pretty purple....I love it!!!  Rated "R" is very similar to Sharp e/s from the Tempting Quad (Cherry Culture Collection, Fall 2008).  I think I might return that one but I'm not sure.  I can't wait to play with these new colors...super duper excited!!! =)

Have any of you checked out or purchased any of these collections?  If so, let me know what you got and if you like it.
