TAG: Most Worn Summer Items 2012

I was tagged by the lovely Jessica from All ThingsAddicted. 

In no particular order, my most worn summer items were:

1. Circus by Andrea's Choice in Spectacle - bright orange/coral color!  Perfect pop of color for your nails.     
2. NARS Orgasm blush – LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this in the summer time.  
3.  Hard Candy Glamoflauge concealer – great coverage for my under eye circles and covers up my acne scarring perfectly. 
4. Jordana mascara – great mascara that separates my lashes and provides volume with no clumpiness.
5.  Physician’s  Formula eyeliner – perfect for that winged eyeliner and very long lasting for the summer heat.
6. Degree Clinical Protection deordorant – great for those sweaty days and nights.
7. Biore Blemish Fighting Cleanser - so far I'm liking this to keep my acne-prone skin from breaking out.  
8. ELF Eye Brightner - it's an under eye powder and I actually like it.  I use it to set my concealer.
9. MAC MSF in Lightyear - my all time fave!
10. Covergirl Lipstick in Fairytale - LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this lipstick!  My first drugstore lipstick that I fell in love with.  It is a bright coral color and it lasts for hours!
11. Botanics Overnight Foot cream - feels so fresh on my feet when I apply it...keeps my feet moisturized and I don't have to worry about cracked heels or flaky skin coming off my feet while wearing sandals. 
12. Zyrtec allergy medicine - A must in the spring/summer!

What's In My Purse??

Curious minds want to know... 

what's in my purse.  

Ok, no one really wants to know but I thought I'd share what I carry around in my everyday bag. 

 My current and new addition to my purse fam is this pink Big Buddah handbag that I purchased over the weekend.  I was on the hunt for a non-black, non-brown, non-taupe purse and I came across this one at Marshall's.  I am so in love with it.  It's the perfect pink color - not too bright, not too pink but feminine and chic. I have no idea why the picture makes it look like its a red color but trust me it's not. This baby retails for $95 but I got it $39.99!!!

Now on to what's inside this beauty...

• iPhone charger - I need to have this with me at all times.  
• Coupon organizer - Yep!  Ms. Couponista over here carries around a small accordion folder with coupons that I know I'm going to use when I stumble upon a CVS or Walgreens. 
• Small notebook - I don't carry this notebook around in my purse much but I had it with me because I wrote down some awesome upcoming coupon deals that I need to start organizing my coupons for.  Yes, another of my couponing items. lol
• Tums - Need these for those high sodium, spicy meals. Or when I just feel bloated. 
• Anti-bacterial - Comes in handy to fight off those germs!
• Tiny pouch with nail clippers and nail file - I hate when my nail chips or it's too long that I need to cut or file so I like to carry this around for those type of moments. 
• Makeup bag - Don't carry much in there other than a ton of lip products that I don't even apply through out the day and some powder and concealer. 
• Kindle 4 - Love it for reading!  So lightweight.  I love my iPad more though! lol
• Pocket calendar organizer - I'm a busy bee so I need to keep track of what I'm doing with my life. 
• HK note pad - I write down jibberish in this one such as the name of a nice nail polish I saw or ideas on what to blog about. 
• Zyrtec - I suffer from seasonal allergies and this summer they have been flaring up big time.  I take Zyrtec to help with the sneezing and sniffling. :)
• Juicy wallet - My BFF! 

In a nutshell, my purse fits a lot of stuff and more.  On most days, you'll find torn receipts, pens, kotex liners, tampons, and toys but because this is a fairly new purse I  am trying to maintain the neatness. :)

MOTD - Deep Truth and All

Hello lovelies,

It's been a very, very long time since I uploaded a makeup video on my YouTube account.  However, over the weekend I was playing around with makeup and had received a few compliments from friends and fam that I decided to share with you all the products I used to achieve the look.

DIY - Nail Polish Rack

I've accumilated quite a few nail polishes over the years and after seeing many posts on nail polish racks I figure why not make one myself.  So the bf and I headed to Lowe's on Sunday morning and picked up the necessary items.  We purchased the pre-cut wood, small nails, primer for spray paint, and a spray paint bottle in the color pink.  We spent less than $20!!!  Now that's a bargain. 

Step 1: Get all your pieces together, measure them to your liking.  I wanted 4 shelves to fit my polishes and the bottom one to fit hand lotions, acetone, cotton balls, and other misc. items.

Step 2:  Once you've taken your measurements, place the nails and secure.  

Step 3: All done nailing and assembling the nail polish rack. 

Step 4:  Spray paint or paint to your liking. 

Step 5: Set up a location where you want your rack to be placed.  Mine is on top of my vanity.

This was fairly easy to build.  There are plenty of youtube videos that show you step by step how to make one and what tools you need but most that I saw were using cardboard and gluing the pieces together.  That doesn't seem long lasting to me so I wanted to use wood.  Hope you guys found this a bit helpful and if you are looking into purchasing a nail polish rack, don't even bother... just make your own.  I guarantee that you will like it 10x better and enjoy building it and seeing the final results.

This pic was taken last xmas and my daughter was opening her presents.  She loves Disnesy Princess and she loves Handy Manny...wierd combination.  LOL.  Once she saw that Princess lil car she did not want to get off.  It was a great day...I think I was more excited to play with her new toys than she was...hahaha.

• What is your current obsession? My number 1 is Makeup and nail polish + nail art.  I like doing my nails every other day, even if its just a wild yellow nail polish or a clear coat.  Gotta have them looking fly!!! LOL

• What is your weirdest obsession? Face toners!!  I don't know why but I'm always buying toners.  If it's on sale and I feel that its going to work with my skin I buy it.  I must have like 4 different face toners right now! lol.

• What are you wearing today? Black slacks, grey tank top, work sweater, and some black peep toe flats.

• What’s for dinner today?  Mixed vegetables, brown rice, and some broiled chicken with green beans.  Dinner has been served!!!

• What would make today special? If I got time to play with my daughter and read her a book.  She's with her grandparents in San Jose,CA (about an hr away from me) and I miss her like crazy.  3 days seems like eternity!!

• What would you like to learn to do? Hair.  Be able to do different hairstyles, use extensions, and hair accesories.  I just put it in a ponytail or let it down and that's that.  

• What’s the last thing you bought? Jergens Natural Glow and a pill box to depot my lipsticks.

• What are you listening to right now? If I Were a Boy by Beyonce

• What is your favorite weather? A lil sun with a slighly cool breeze.

• What is your most challenging goal right now? I would have to say the same thing as MakeupBabble which is payin off my credit cards.
